What gives you life?  For some it is their work, while for others it is their hobbies.  Many find life in the pages of a book.  For me, I find the words of the Scriptures come alive as I read them.  They bring life to my soul and give purpose to all that I do.  The Word gives direction, peace, counsel, and joy and life to all those who choose to read it.
